A new book by Emeritus Professor Murray Meikle '52

Emeritus Professor Murray Meikle '52 has recently published a large tome about immigration from the United Kingdom to New Zealand, entitled A New Britain in the South Pacific: The Life and Times of a New Zealand Immigrant Family.

Murray is a highly regarded Emeritus Professor of Orthodontics, and has worked in some of the world's most prestigious academic institutions. This included the Strangeways Research Laboratory in Cambridge, a lab that pioneered cell and tissue culture methodology, and the Head of the Department of Orthodontics and Paediatric Dentistry at the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy's and St. Thomas's Hospital.

Murray has also published several other books and scientific papers which highlight his commitment to growing the global body of knowledge in dentistry and it demonstrates why he is held in such high esteem by his peers.

Murray was one of three Old Boys to receive an Augusta Award in 2016, where he was recognised for his outstanding achievements and exceptional qualities.
